Marcel Pouliot named Western Canada Representative for PMTC

November 15, 2023 – Milton, ON – The Private Motor Truck Council of Canada (PMTC) is pleased to announce that Marcel Pouliot has been named the Western Canada Representative for the Association. Today, Marcel officially steps into his role as the voice, ally, lobbyist and support system for PMTC members in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

Working alongside PMTC President Mike Millian and the Board of Directors, Marcel will represent the PMTC member views and interests, with provincial and federal governments, in the West and across Canada.

Based in Calgary, Marcel is a well-known executive in the North American transportation industry who brings over 35 years’ industry experience and connections to the table. He has an extensive resume, serving associations and councils that represent the transportation industry across Canada and the US.

PMTC President Mike Millian is pleased that Marcel has joined the PMTC and looks forward to a long-term partnership that celebrates and supports the membership across Canada. “The PMTC Board of Directors has made a great choice in selecting Marcel to represent our members in Canada’s West,” says Mike. “With Marcel’s vast experience and knowledge in the industry, as well as his strong ties to the West, he is suited well to work with our members and communicate their concerns to government and other stakeholders. I look forward to working with Marcel as he helps to expand the PMTC’s presence in the West and represent and work with our members on an elevated level.”

PMTC Chair Steve Lawn and fellow Board of Directors look forward to working with Mike and Marcel to expand the Association’s footprint. “On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am pleased to welcome Marcel to the PMTC team,” says Steve. “We are excited to work with Marcel, as we continue to grow our footprint in Western Canada, and view Marcel’s presence and connection to the industry as a positive step towards serving our current and future members.”
