Good afternoon PMTC Members and Contacts. All bridges at the 4 Western New York Crossing into the USA are closed. They are likely to be closed for a significant period of time. There was a vehicle explosion at the Rainbow Bridge Inspection Station at the American side inspection area. DO NOT send any vehicles to this area to access the US until such time as an opening time is announced. Consider alternative crossings. See info below from CBSA. We have been in conversation with CBSA and the lines of communication are open. We will provide updates as we receive them.

Traveller traffic at the Queenston-Lewiston Bridge, Fort Erie Peace Bridge, Niagara Falls Rainbow Bridge and Whirlpool ports of entry are experiencing a service disruption

These ports of entry are currently experiencing a service disruption and border users may encounter delays. Until further notice, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) encourages you to consider the following alternate ports of entry to cross the border:

regular travellers: Lansdowne

commercial traffic: Lansdowne

The CBSA recognizes border disruptions affect travellers and we are working to restore normal border operations at this port of entry as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience while we get operations back on track.

Interruption du service pour les voyageurs aux points d’entrée du pont Queenston-Lewiston, pont Peace de Fort Erie, pont Rainbow de Niagara Falls, et pont Whirlpool

Une interruption du service affecte en ce moment ces points d’entrée et les voyageurs pourraient subir des retards. Jusqu’à nouvel ordre, l’Agence des services frontaliers du Canada (ASFC) vous invite à considérer les points d’entrée de rechange suivants pour passer la frontière :

voyageurs : Lansdowne

secteur commercial : Lansdowne

L’ASFC est consciente que les interruptions à la frontière affectent les voyageurs. Nous nous efforçons de rétablir au plus vite les opérations frontalières normales au point d’entrée. Nous vous remercions de votre patience pendant que nous travaillons à régler la situation.
